Most people agree that it is important to teach our children about the Bible and to help them grow in their faith. But, it is just as important for adults. Learning is life-long. Ken Mawr Presbyterian Church offers several Sunday morning adult groups and small groups that meet weekly or monthly where you will be welcomed and made to feel a part of the community of faith.
The Koinonia class will be using a study “Experiencing God” by Henry Blacaby. This book “guides readers to develop a deeper relationship with God through prayer, Bible study and active participation in His work.” The class meets down the hall to the left of the church office, meeting September – May, Sundays at 9:45 am. Casual conversation around the table with a Bible or book study, this woman’s group also organizes several service/donations to show God’s love to various organizations throughout the year. The class meets on the lower level of the church in Library, September – May, Sundays at 9:45 a.m. All women are welcome. Led by Rachel Ramsey.
Led by Dr. Tony Cario, this class is studying the gospel of Luke. This book is one of the earliest accounts of the life of Jesus. Study the depth and direction of the message of Luke in this adult class that meets Sunday mornings. The class meets across from the Memorial Room.
The class will be a scripture study. A verse or verses will be entered in a journal as one translation, then viewing other translations to journal key words/meanings/perspectives to appreciate how God may be speaking to each of us in different ways. A casual, open forum. Bring your favorite Bible, a pen, a journal, an open mind and heart. Meeting in the Memorial Room, September – May, Sundays at 9:45 am. Facilitated by Sue Marcinko.
This class seeks to study scripture by helping God’s word to be available for all learners. This class meets in Friendship Lounge downstairs, September – May, Sundays at 9:45 am. Led by Kathy Gadsby & Diane Weber.
This class meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM in Friendship Hall. Led by Barb Jaros.
The Lunch Bunch meets the third Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in Friendship Hall. Everyone brings a brown lunch, and we share cookies.
The Esther Circle women meet once a month on the second Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Memorial room on the lower level. They are studying the Psalms and each meeting includes prayer time.
The Men’s Breakfast meets on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. They enjoy a home cooked meal and are led in a Bible study.
The quilters meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Friendship room on the lower level. All are welcome.
