We believe that early spiritual formation is critical for all children. Our Sunday School program, J.A.M. and VBS are so important for all our children. Our teachers take care to get to know the children and to help them understand the love of God in each and every class.
Nursery: Our nursery is staffed by volunteers who lovingly care for our youngest learners. Parents are welcome to bring their children and return to worship or stay with the children. There is a speaker in the nursery and we are anticipating a TV for streaming the service at 11:00 in the nursery.
Supplies include a small crib, rockers, toys, diapers and wipes.

Sunday mornings: 9:45 a.m. – 10:40 a.m.
Preschool (ages 3 and 4) – Lari Skowron will introduce our youngest learners to the love of God each Sunday morning. In the middle room of the primary department – right at the bottom of the steps.
K – 1 – Teachers Renee Trunick and Susan Chimera provide a loving environment for children to meet God as they begin a new series of lessons from The Gospel Project. On the lower level – right at the bottom of the steps.
Grades 2-4 – Amy Savatt will lead a team of teachers for grades 2-4, helping these students to grow in their walk of faith through new lessons from The Gospel Project and applying the lessons through a variety of activities. This class meets on lower level – left at the bottom of the steps.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Children’s Church is offered during the 11:00 AM service on Sundays for children ages 4 – 4th grade. After “Time with the Children” the kids leave the sanctuary and rejoin their parents before the end of the service. Most often the songs, crafts and lessons are built around a biblical theme or the Scripture passage for that Sunday’s service. Children age 10 and older are asked to stay with their families in the sanctuary for the worship service.

During the Fall Fellowship and Lenten dinner/worship time, children ages Preschool – Grade 4 are invited to join Amy Savatt and Sheila Konn for a midweek lesson planned just for them. Bible-centered and fun-focused, it’s sure to bring smiles and fun! Children eat first at the 5:30 dinner, then head downstairs for J.A.M. from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School is an outreach program at Ken Mawr Church. All children are welcome to participate in this God-focused, kid-friendly week. VBS begins on Sunday evening and continues each evening through Thursday. Each evening, parents are invited to the closing section of VBS in the sanctuary on the upper floor of Ken Mawr Church.We celebrate the conclusion of VBS with an all family party on the lawn at the end of VBS in the sanctuary.
Child Abuse and PA Criminal Record Clearances are required for all volunteers age 18 and older.
